As someone who suffered from lack of attention at a young age…
I found myself in a position where my attention was going towards no one, but to myself.
Sounds kinda selfish, but when no one is really paying attention to you, the only option you could possibly have is to pay attention to yourself.
To pay attention to yourself is to be aware, to be aware is to be an observer, being an observer makes you a student. And your “job” as a student is to shut the f*ck up and learn.
You learn to be able to figure things out yourself.
You don’t learn to have a correct answer anytime a question is asked. This is systematically stupid.
From a young age, I always understood the outcomes of possibilities when saying or doing something.
I knew what would’ve happened to me if my mom caught me skipping class back in middle school. I lowered my chances of getting my ass kicked in front of the entire school by skipping class only when she was working.
The right thing was not to skip class at all, but I was willing to accept the outcome of my actions. (Awareness)
I was smart enough to realize how aware of myself I was becoming once I started being more alone. More by myself.
Every piece of attention was going toward myself and myself only.
And with attention, energy is created, once energy is created you have to do nothing but follow your energy. Meaning living by your own standards with your own core of principles.
This is when my surroundings changed, and I started creating the outcome I wanted to receive by doing exactly what I wanted to do.
By being by myself I discovered how each one of us perceives life in a very different way. So it’s better to start your own way, with yourself.
I really believe every person should be able to feel like they are the main character of their movie. There is always time and space for someone else, but understand that the creator of your reality is no one but you.
When I started creating the outcome I wanted to receive by doing exactly what I wanted to do, is when I noticed that you can get good at anything, even if you are aware or not.
Getting good by repetition, same math as always.
As an adult, I’m able to understand who says what and who does who. But pay even more attention, and you will see intention passing by.
Actions speak by themselves, and intention gives them meaning.
Intention is aligned with purpose. And purpose is covered up with a strong emotion which is the reason behind your intention.
But if you narrow your focus to yourself, you will experience how minding your business will bring you the most peace. Because now, you are centered in one. In yourself.
In your life, you should feel like you are the most important person. Only you like what you like, in your weird order, but that’s just the beauty of being yourself.
And nothing is more beautiful than being yourself.
Again, Focus
To actually know that you are focusing on yourself is to observe instead of watch the details of yourself and your surroundings.
In most cases, your surroundings can tell you more about yourself than who you say you are. You can be what you say if it aligns with what you do, but you are not what you say if what you do is otherwise.
Simple.
The Art of Being by Yourself is a concept I’ve developed through my philosophy of being alone, naked with the truth you hold within yourself.
The inside of yourself should control your outside state. If the outer controls the inner, from my experience, you need to spend more time with yourself.
Outside of what you know, inside of what you are.
You are what you are because that’s what you allow yourself to feel.
Now, I understand how good and simple this looks here. Realistically, It will take years and unlimited challenges to develop this part of yourself. You develop a way to be on your own, allowing by choice and not by obligation.
Once you’re convinced who you want to be, just be it and behave like it. Don’t say it.
Just act like it. Be like it.
Be Greater.
