Starting is completely important, but please finish what you got started with, is the only way to fill the gaps in details.

Going back to my last post I said:

“Starting is a process, not a once-in-a-lifetime choice”

Now, to complete I say:

Completion is a new level of the process, not a simple achievement that holds place in our memory.

The role of starting is to get to know it, and the role of completing is to teach you what is needed next time.

Here in the SCR Code, we have to complete what we started, or else we will break the code and what it means to be in the third level.

Starting and completing. Keep it simple for now.

Just to let you know: You guys are shaping me as a writer, I now reinforce my ability with the feedback I’ve received from the perspective of my audience.

I started this newsletter and my audience started growing, I completed multiple posts and I started receiving opinions about my work. Now I get to understand how my work is being understood by the reader.

And this lady’s and gentleman’s is the map I unconsciously follow to make my writing more understandable and desirable to read.

Just remember that I never stopped Starting and Completing, even when it takes me longer than expected.

This being said:

Welcome to the Greatness of Average project and allow me to break down for you the Power of Completion.

The first time I posted I didn’t expect to receive the support I received, when I finished my last post I confirmed how a low rate of my subscribers actually read what I posted.

That is when I realized how bad I would’ve felt if this was the situation with my first post, this being the situation now is also making me realize the reason why I don’t feel bad at all.

I get more of what I complete than what the reader is taking away.

Both are valuable to me but I’m at the point where I’m learning more about my craft than what you are learning what my craft is about.

Are you wondering why? Well, I’m the one who started the newsletter and I’m the one finishing every post. Meaning that every time I finish I get to reinforce my confidence in what I do, how I do it, and why I’m doing this.

Every time I get to complete a piece of work I feel proud of what I just did, I contemplate the progress I’ve made and I understand better how to make the craft and shape it for myself.

Finishing is not just the end of something, finishing is the confirmation of what we know, what is missing, and what can we do next.

A beginning with no end is just a space in your life experience. The idea will live in your perspective, but a live idea lives through the completion of what we got started with.

We can’t complete what we haven’t started, but we can start what we are determined to complete.

Completion seems simple but it’s much more than just the final product, completion has a deeper meaning that is fully connected with who we are as human beings.

Let me clear this out for you: You do not know if you are capable of something if you haven’t done it before. And even if you have, it doesn’t mean you know how to do it. You’ll only know once the final product is right in front of you.

The final product is what matters the most, it is what shapes our perspectives on how we are connected with what we create, it is what shapes the perspectives of others towards us, and it is also our best measure of how we can do better next time.

Completing a new beginning is not just about completion, is about what we are capable of sacrificing to finish what we just started.

When I first started posting, I couldn’t decide which draft to pick for my next topic to share, so all I was doing was typing the idea to leave it in a draft until I got to remember it to go back and finish.

Once I started to feel like all of my ideas were getting nowhere because I wasn’t finishing them, I started focusing on one idea at a time.

Just like I’m focusing on this post describing Complete, and just like I’m focusing on developing what the SCR Code is. Once I finish this, then I move on to the next idea rather than just write a bunch of things that will remain unfinished.

Don’t get me wrong, I could still go back and finish all the ideas lying around, but at the moment of showing what I have done as a writer, all I could show Is what I finished.

Not a single person in the world likes to receive an incomplete piece of work from someone whose focus should be on the matter. Imagine if I mention to a publisher how “Good of a writer I am” and most of what I have are unfinished ideas.

This is bad for me, this is bad for my public image as a writer, this is bad for my name, and it can become worse from the perspective of the publisher who I just showed my incomplete work.

Complete what you started, start and keep completing.

Starting a process is illustrating, finishing is satisfying.

It feels good to get started, but it feels better to finish what we started.

Increasing the confidence in our abilities, the mental stamina reinforced with the completion, and the details we get to work through are completely worth the headache to finish the project we started.

I was never a big fan of school, but on my last day of High School, I felt the relief of what I went through before finishing. The long years, the long weeks, and the long days of what I was living were done, and I felt as if I was ready for the next chapter of my life outside of school.

Completing my last post has been eye-opening for me, starting this post is part of the eye-opening I had with my last post, and the following post is going to be based on the details I get out of the last one.

The art of completing what we started is the magic we enhance for ourselves for the next time we get started at something else.

Completion gives us experience.

Experience lets us know what we are good at, what we need to improve, and how not to do something we don’t want to repeat from last time.

My experience from writing the last post is telling me not to overthink but to overwrite the topic I’m bringing to the table. Overthinking will not allow me to write, overwriting will allow me to understand my idea since I can always use a reference from what I overwrote to write the post.

Your experience with what you have completed before is what is reinforcing your capacity to complete what you started now.

Completing what we started is a chapter we learned from, we reflect on, and we remember for the next occasion.

Think of it like a book or a class we learned from starting with zero knowledge and ending with somewhat knowledge is how we get prepared for the next stage of the topic itself.

Completion gives us experience.

Completion gives us credibility

We prove ourselves with the final result.

The beginning and the process are not worth any confidence from someone who is not witnessing the final results, not only do we prove to ourselves what we are capable of, but also to the person who gets to see the result of what was completed.

Along with the final result is the story of how you did it.

It is hard to find people to admire the final results of something and is even harder to find interest in something that is not finished at all.

Completing reading a book allows us to speak about the insights we learned from personal reflection. Completing a video game gets us to conclude what the story of the game is about. Completing a job gives us the knowledge and experience to use it next time and teach it to someone else.

Completion = Experience

Nothing in this world shouldn’t be believable without any source of proof.

The final result is the prof we will ever need to create the credibility we need to at least attract people to our expertise.

Starting is important, and the details of the process are really important, but the final result is the simple proof we have to present to the world.

It is what represents us.

Experience = Credibility

Complete what you started and you will become experienced, is this simple.

Think of what you do the most and how you started, what has changed since the first time you ever tried it? Probably a lot.

Using me as an example: I started serious with basketball and it led me to a year of college basketball. I started reading books and it let me build a conscious mind, I started writing and now I have a newsletter. All because I got started and completed the responsibilities that would take me to the outcome I was looking for.

Each one of them gave me the credibility of: An Athlete, a Reader, and a Writer.

Completion+Experience=Credibility

Simple math with a great outcome.

Three words to describe what is the meaning behind completing what we started, this is the code-of-the-code and its essence.

As mentioned in “Start” of the SCR code: Surprises, Opportunities, and Possibilities (SOP) are the outcome of starting out. With Completion, Experience, and Credibility we complement what SOP has to offer.

Completion will leave us surprised at what we are capable of, the opportunities spam opens up after we understand what we are capable of, and the possibilities out of completions are at a higher rate than what we think of.

Why?

Because we build up experience to fulfill the credibility to do it again. This is what completion does and how CEC and SOP combine.

Experience for the sake of credibility, completion for the sake of opportunities, and surprises for the sake of possibilities. This by being handed among each other is how I finish my description of completion inside of the SCR Code.

Finish what you started, prove to yourself what you are capable of and confidence will follow along.

Confidence is earned, not given

Something I’ve learned from a book and from experience is how our confidence is impacted whenever we get to finish something, even when we have a hard time finishing it.

I’ve confirmed this when I get to finish a book and I use what I learned to try something I’ve never done before, I feel confident enough to try it because I learned this passively with the wisdom of someone else.

When I finish a workout in the morning I feel completely pumped to keep the day flowing at a pace where I’m able to perform like no one else.

When I finish a post I get to reflect on my own writing to follow along with my writing path, leaving me with the confidence I developed thanks to what I confirmed to myself when I finished the post.

Confidence is built through completion, it is earned because it takes us to move as much as we need to get it done. And when we get sh*t done is when we feel the best, we feel useful and completely in touch with ourselves.

I have to finish this by saying something I learned not so long ago:

It takes experiences to build experience, it takes years of experiences to build the strongest foundation of ourselves. The work we have to do starts with whatever it’s available, what we desire starts getting fulfilled with the best we can do at the moment.

And I mean the best, not poor and weak work just to say we did the work.

The long hours, the long days, long weeks, long months, and long years are better spent when we are always doing what we can with the best we have.

And the best we have is always going to improve, just make sure the work is done. Make sure to complete it to make use of it.

I haven’t finished, just something else

If I were to give meaning to each letter of this section of the code, they will sound like this:

Commitment to determination

Opportunity throughout the course and after final result

Muse and flow as authenticity

Problem spotter with a solving mindset

Learning and growing with details

Elevate understanding through completion

Timing and execution with efficiency

Experienced and the master of the process

If we want the truth, we have to allow ourselves to finish. Finishing would add meaning, and it won't take away anything because the time you spend is an actual investment for yourself.
