Start, complete, repeat
Starting is a process, not a once-in-a-lifetime choice.
The life of someone starts moving in a direction anytime a beginning is taking place.
This brings me back to an early memory:
Remembering the fresh morning when the neighborhood was taking off on a school bus to the capital of the Island, how all of us managed to be on the bus at 6:00 Am with coffee and bread as breakfast is how I feel every time I start something I’m excited for.
The feeling of direction from the start, the journey with the people, and the joy of getting to know something new was what everyone was sharing throughout the day.
I relate to this because, as one of the best memories I have as a kid, starting the day not like every other day was always exciting, it meant that I was going somewhere I had never been before.
Or at least somewhere I only get to go once.
I find them similar because I’m excited writing this, I’m writing something about a code I never thought of before, and this will get me through a journey where I get to tell and inspire someone looking to get started.
We all started the day excited to go to the capital and I’m starting the day excited because I’m writing something I just started learning about myself.
The same way I want you to feel when a new beginning is about to start in your life, my reader.
It is a similar feeling, a similar situation, the difference is time and place.
From 20 years ago to what I'm experiencing now is the time.
From a place to explore to something to explore.
The starting status is what I'm here for, to break down how is the Starting process of the SCR Code.
Starting Process
I’m starting to write this post after 5 days of studying it myself, and the simplicity of my complex idea is making me break it down for you.
It is simple to get started, but it’s not simple what happens after we get started.
After starting, we are going to get started again at some point in time.
Just because we start working it doesn’t mean we are going to start to save money, just because we start to save money it doesn’t mean that we are going to have more money coming in.
We start working, we start to get money. We start to get money, we start saving. We start saving, and we look for other ways to start making more money.
Starting is a latter process, a pyramid process where we add and remove whatever our experience and knowledge are telling us.
One decision will lead to another decision.
Using my example of this post:
The more I write the more I reflect on what I’m writing this for.
I’ve come to the realization of how my life has changed from the time I started making new beginnings, how I started making them, and how I keep getting myself started.
I started writing 8 years ago to have a better understanding of myself, now I have an audience where I’m able to share my work as my beginner chapter of a nonfiction writer.
4 years after I started writing, I started reading books that have developed my way through adulthood in my early 20s.
From writing to books, from books to writing.
I never expected my life to take this direction from the time I started to combine both into my daily routine.
This makes me an example that you will get started with something after you find something else that you started before.
To make it simple- you’ll probably start the gym before you take care of your diet. Or you might take care of your diet before starting the gym.
A beginner starts with one, then after some time, they become beginners on something else.
Coming back to my example:
The simple fact that I started both with a 4 years difference made me realize how important was to start combining them in my journey.
Thanks that I got started this early in life, now I feel that my purpose is interconnected with both reading and writing.
Now I envision myself as someone with enough knowledge to teach and educate a certain kind of people with what moves them as human beings. (Expect a post about who I am becoming through this process)
Education starts with a book in your hands.
Creation starts by describing the definition with words and sentences.
Coming back to the main point: All of us have the ability to get started with whatever we want.
Starting doesn't mean just to start, it means new beginnings full of surprises, new beginnings with new opportunities, and new beginnings with infinite possibilities.
Getting started at something is a spiritual endeavor we walk through for the sake of our well-being, self-satisfaction, and fulfillment.
This is how the three of them break down:
Our well-being is a factor and motivator to start something we wish for, this will give us the balance we need to keep our mental health in place, our energy to function the way we want to perform, the peaceful feeling of connection with what we do and ourselves, and our senses as human beings. Whatever brings peace of mind is worth the sacrifice. Our well-being depends on what we do, what we start, what we finish, and how we project ourselves around what we do the most.
Self-satisfaction is just how we want to feel anytime we start doing something and finish successfully. What makes us feel useful is what will make us feel satisfied, until it is time to level up to challenge ourselves to be satisfied again. What we have accomplished, how we manage to meet our goals, and how people look up to you with the same alignments of values you’ve influenced them with are the purest forms of satisfaction. Only because everything came out of yourself and you are the one making things happen.
Fulfillment is where we get to meet the higher version of ourselves. This goes beyond our well-being and Self-Satisfaction because fulfillment is in complete alignment with what we know our purpose is based on our knowledge, experiences, and what we do daily that is shaping who we are becoming. We feel fulfilled when we are the greatest version of ourselves after being satisfied enough to feel peace. Fulfillment is what completes us as human beings.
S-O-P
Surprises, Opportunities, Possibilities
Being surprised by the outcome of what we started is a form of reflection of how unaware we might be through the journey. The fact that we got started, time has passed since we started repeating the process is a proven way of how efficiency works.
Getting started at something is a commitment to the Greatest Version of Ourselves. The amount of opportunities aligned thanks to the new beginning is completely different from what we were expecting.
The new in our lives will bring new opportunities
A new approach towards a situation, a new morning routine, a new habit, or a new hobby can bring good positive possibilities for you and your lifestyle.
SOP is part of Starting because it is what we are looking for with any new beginning.
We start and we spot possible opportunities along the way, we think of the possibilities of our opportunities and the journey alongside the skill we develop out of the new thing we just started. And we get surprised with the progress and the outcome of what we once got started.
I write this as a form of self-expression, the opportunities I’m spotting along my journey is to get to influence and inspire people with my ideas, and the skill I am developing here is for me to be organized with how I want to present my idea, how is my voice used and how my readers feels my way of expression.
Having this in mind at the beginning of my journey is what keeps me repeating the same process every week with different posts and writing material.
I'm always getting started with something as soon as I finish something else.
The point of starting is not just to try it out-The point of starting is to prove to ourselves what we are capable of at the moment and what we can take away to use the next time.
So we are always getting started at something, it’s up to us with what we get started with, how we are getting started, and when to get started.
There are a lot of other important factors paired here but the one we are talking about is the one we should always look forward to doing: START.
Spend quality time at the beginning to become familiar.
Take the best insights to notice details.
Advocate for yourself to be open to new possibilities.
Reward yourself by taking away details of your craft.
Treat yourself patiently and accept what’s coming next instead of missing what was left behind.
Starting is a spiritual endeavor not everyone is prepared for, the structure we tell to ourselves through the process is as important as our beginning with the craft.
The same friend who started trading about two years ago is the same friend who is in the process of self-discovery thanks to what he got started with.
His journey as a trader is making him believe in himself to a point where he can’t find more answers about himself, so embracing the knowledge of the world for him to absorb and be the best version of himself is his Starter Kit for his next chapter as a trader.
He first told me he wanted to be a trader, then he became a trader. He noticed he could level up his trading game by self-discovery, and there he is spending all the time in the world trading and looking at how to be the greater version of what he believes he will become.
And as a wise man used to say:
You are everything you believe about yourself.
This friend got started with something, and after he got started with something he kept starting more insights related to what he did first.
We, (My friend and I) are living examples of this process, we are not halfway through our journey but we are aware of how our patterns are looking like.
Speaking of patterns…
Are you noticing the patterns of what will happen to you if you ever get started?
Getting started is not just to get started-Getting started will bring to you everything you are not expecting to get from a simple action.
The pattern of getting started starts after you become familiar with your topic as a beginner. Becoming familiar is to start becoming another person whose focus is to expand your mind with knowledge and experiences of your subject.
As a writer, I write. The more I write the more I notice mistakes I make, patterns I do with my style, and the more intrigue I start to become with the writing of others.
Just for me to understand more about writing, all I need to do is start writing something new, start looking for more writers to get familiar with their patterns, and apply what I’ve learned to make sure I understand with efficiency.
This is just my pattern explained with simplicity, your pattern is completely different from mine because you are as different from me as I am from you.
But what we have in common is the Beginner Mindset that is attracted to each one of us:
The beginner Mindset
A beginner’s mindset is attracted by more beginners to learn from each other and teach different practices we use.
Having this type of mentality as a beginner is what forms unity in a world where everyone seems to be competing against each other.
The formation of a community from beginners is to have masters together a few years after the community is formed.
Learning techniques from each other, having to live hard times among each other, having this feeling of familiarity with each other, and having different concentrations from each individual is what this beginner mindset is about:
A community formed to support each other from the rest of the world.
All because each individual got started with something and they found people with the same mindset with a different type of concentration.
The beginner's mindset is to win the long game with what we are getting started with.
Look at yourself as a beginner, as a future efficient individual, and as a master over the long years of the craft.
Even if one of the most important aspects is to get started, the mindset you are carrying over time is what is getting multiplied before any sort of success happens.
Mindset is part of your inner self, starting will test what you are capable of and how you adapt to the changes in your plans.
The beginners' mindset for starters is what I’m looking forward to creating at GOA 101. A community to test, challenge, learn, and implement the best of our world toward something different from us.
As a writer, I look forward to asking for details about someone else’s work and experiences.
As part of the community, your job will be to question the details of what you are noticing about my writing or anyone else’s work.
This is a work in progress, perfection has never existed but efficiency and mastery do.
This is me forming a community, now it's time for my reader to either be part of it or form their own community by using my practices and examples.
Just remember to get started before forming or before being part of something else.
Set yourself up for success by starting, not all the way around.
One last thing about starting
There’s never a perfect way to get started, you get started by showing up, by making the first move, and by doing what you saw on someone to get the inspiration.
If you like what you see on someone else, use it as a reference point.
After having a reference you will create your own reference after you finish what you started for the first time.
Then you will complete it and repeat.
Start, complete, repeat: Get started and complete it to get a chance of getting started again.
SCR code for beginners just finished it’s first 1/3.
S is completed
C is our next target, let’s complete the next week to repeat the week after.
But first:
Focus here to remember the last words I have for you.
Get F*cking started, no one is coming to save you from your process.
I want you to remember this last sequence because I want you to succeed in anything you get started with. Allow yourself to be consistent but focus first on getting started before being overwhelmed with how to be consistent.
Beginning = Beginner = Starter = Early = Initiator = Learner
A beginning makes you a beginner. A beginner is a starter. Starters move early. Early movers are initiators. Initiators are learners.
See you next week.
And share my work if you know someone who will benefit from it.
