Repetition is the builder of efficiency

The structure of Mastery

And the foundation of long-term growth and Development.

Start building, complete what you started, and repeat the same process to build yourself up

Since “Starting is a process, not a once-in-a-lifetime choice”, and “Completion is a new level of the process, not a simple achievement that holds a place in our memory”. Then, Repetition is a constant update of how we go through a process with the teachings and practices we’ve done before.

Before the explanation goes through, let's make a quick stop by:

Welcoming you to the final piece of the SCR Code:

Welcome to the completion of the code and one of my best performances as a beginner.

This is the Greatness Of Average Project where we created the SCR Code, where we will create value out of the value, and where we are creating a reality towards the greater good within ourselves.

The SCR code is no longer something we haven’t done before, we just didn’t know the term but the action itself included what everyone does.

Which includes getting Started, Completing what we got started with, and repeating the same process all over again.

This is as simple as Getting started with our day, Completing the day, and then repeating the same process the following day.

This is how easy the code is to describe.

Now let’s consciously activate this code:

But before I continue: Please be aware of how you’re applying this code, confront your reality with straight facts and not with unfulfilled wishes just like the personal example I mention.

Be ready to be aware, let’s find a personal purpose and activate this code together.

SCR Activities

The SCR Code is activated through this last step, reaching this stage is where we develop the pattern of never stopping using the code by Starting, Completing, and Repeating.

Starting is out of willpower, completing gives us confidence in our ability, and repeating the same process allows us to discover and conquer what is missing to improve.

Mastery is achieved by the boredom of repetition.

Enough repetition makes our transition into the next level more realistic by smoothing our way through the mental stamina we build through the course of repetition. This same stamina we build is the separation between someone new and someone with experience by:

  1. The adaptation of both sides. The work of the beginner is most likely the warmup of the efficient, and the work of the efficient is the warmup of the master.

  2. The quality of work finished. Someone who has done something a thousand times is more likely to value quality over quantity.

  3. The approach to solving it. Someone with experience has unlocked an unlimited amount of creativity in comparison to a beginner, who’s most likely stuck in the third step of the action.

I’ve seen this with some college experiences:

A college student's focus is to finish their degree to get a job based on the learned.

Years spent studying will lead to more precise knowledge to use and monetize it. Repetitive classes and repetitive information for the student to absorb, leading to a career.

Getting started in college, completing college, repeating the same kind of information to have a career. (This is not the case in the real world but in theory, this is how is supposed to be)

Starting is a big step for some people, and completing is a statement for others, but repeating the same process is what leads to a consistent and accurate outcome.

Being aware or not, we are becoming what we do the most. What we say to ourselves to feel better does not apply when receiving the outcome we think we should receive.

The outcomes come from action, distractions have an outcome of their own.

Actions and reactions are what lead to an outcome, but with an aware repetitive process, we are prone to be able to identify the outcome we might receive by the action we are taking.

By following our system, completing what needs to be done, fulfilling the responsibilities, and reflecting on what we’ve done, we can have a more accurate prediction of what the future might look like.

But by doing the complete opposite, all we have left is the excuse and distractions to fulfill the time of the day.

Let me bring a personal example into play:

I’ve been saying I’m a writer for about 3 years, I started writing consistently for about a year and what I’ve received from it started taking place since I started writing. Not when I was saying I was a writer.

Saying this led me nowhere, it added an image I wasn’t fulfilling. I was saying out loud something I wasn’t particularly focused on even though it was a desire I wanted to fulfill.

It is a waste of time and energy to go against what needs to be along with me. It is an investment to follow along with my priorities to achieve what’s in my best interest.

Following my system has been eye-opening, completing what needs to be done is my daily wake-up call, and reflecting on what’ve done is how I get to measure my progress.

Repetitions have gotten me completely familiar with what I write, not me telling myself that I’m a writer, but by writing.

Familiarity = Repetition = Repetition = Familiarity

We become familiar at anything with repetition.

Repetition leads to an outcome, and the outcome is derived from what we repeat the most.

Let’s be clear with something; We are what we get to repeat the most, this applies to any goodness and madness involved.

We are defined by what we do the most.

Writers write, Readers read, Athletes train, and Teachers teach.

Almost 10 years of experience in the gym has strengthened how I get to start the workout, complete it, and repeat the same experience the following day.

I’m so familiar with the details that my navigation and process of working a muscle group is more focused on the movement, posture, and how I complete it rather than how heavy I lift.

Details are noticeable along the journey

Starting, completing, and repeating this process is what got me in shape.

This is evidence of how heavy is the weight repetition carries

Because I’ve repeated the movements of the gym, because I’ve read so many books, and I’ve typed so many words is the reason why I consider myself an athlete, a knowledgeable reader, and a spontaneous writer.

Repetition is the reason why I know I am all of those three, I’ve confirmed it to myself every time I finish a workout, a book, and a writing session.

If it wasn’t because I’ve repeated this so many times, I wouldn’t be able to identify with either of them.

The power of repetition carries the potential of mastery.

Mastery is developed in the long run, we feed the potential by daily approach, constant action, and continuous improvement.

Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

SCR Code Activation

Start simple, complete with creativity, and repeat the same process to get mentally activated.

It is as simple as it sounds.

Repetition for us to get as familiar as possible along the way with the endeavor we choose to repeat.

The more we repeat something, the more the code keeps resetting itself to a new state. Allowing us to evolve, break away, take away, and move around with confidence.

For this project, my activation of the code is always flowing because:

  1. I have to get started with each post, reinforcing my knowledge of how to start with my past experiences.

  2. Completing the post is the experience I’m looking for to expand my knowledge for next time.

  3. I repeat the same process, even if I’m looking for a different outcome.

Perfection does not exist, but efficiency and mastery does.

Repetition is what builds experience along the way, the more we do something the more familiar we become.

But let’s take a deeper look into repetition:

  • Repeating is not just to repeat, repeat is to reinforce our last experience with another experience, collecting details to apply it.

  • Repeating is what’s deciding what is and what isn’t, to take that experience and use it at the next level.

  • Repeating is what gets us to know deeper the meaning of what we do, how we do it, and the reason why we are doing it.

  • Repeating is the only teacher that’s always there, the consistency and discipline we develop are the biggest signs of respect we can show for our lifelong mastery.

Take a look at professional athletes and you’ll understand how sacrifices and discipline take over any talent to exploit their greatness potential.

There’s always a detail to watch out for, there’s always data to collect.

Coaches are coaches by experience

Delayed outcome through repetition

At this point in life, I’m looking for the long and delayed outcome rather than the gratifying quick results.

The time I’m spending to get the long and delayed outcome is giving me what quick gratification would never do.

The hours, the work, the reps, the process, and the experiences are what is truly building me, not the outcome itself.

This long process is where patience is developed, where details become important, and where attention becomes deeper into the building of our desired future.

What is quick leaves quick, what took time to build will always remain inside of us.

Quick example:

The first time I did an essay it took me 5 hours to complete. Thanks to these 5 hours the doors for me to learn a new language were easily opened since I became familiar with the sentences I wrongly wrote.

This is how I got started learning my second language.

I could’ve finished quicker if I wanted to, but my goal was to learn English, not to finish as soon as possible. I allowed myself the time I needed to evolve through the challenge, cheating would’ve cost me the first experience I had in school with a new language.

The SCR code activation is simple:

Get started:

Complete what you got started with:

Get to repeat the same process:

This simplicity leads to:

Familiarity

Efficiency

Mastery

FEM

Familiarity, Efficiency, Mastery

Each letter of the code has a code of itself to combine each one of their meanings.

Repeating is a matter of getting familiar at first glance, efficiency will show up after we become familiar, and mastery will appear after enough time and repetition.

  • Familiarity- The first hours, the first weeks, the first months. I think this is the hardest of all, before familiarity is the unknown since we don’t know something we haven’t been exposed to before. The beginning of all, just like babies are getting to know their existence in this world is how we start getting familiar with anything. A key word here is Exploration.

  • Efficiency- Efficiency comes after we get familiar with the simple aspects of what we started. The same baby that is getting to know his existence is also learning how to walk, after those first steps are made is only a matter of time before they walk efficiently. And this is after they become familiar with the movement of their legs, their balance, and the confidence they developed through those first steps. A key word here is Consistency

  • Mastery- Second Nature, that is mastery. This comes after efficiency. But, let me make something clear: Mastery will arrive after spending a lot of time being efficient, the details Mastery covers are only available after a certain amount of repetitions because we don’t focus on the action itself anymore, we focus on the details of how to do it as simple as possible. Go and try to catch a toddler running around after he mastered his walking ability. A key word here is Simplicity.

Exploration, Consistency, Simplicity

Having an explorer mindset is part of the development that will allow us to learn easier, and more enjoyable. When we enjoy the exploration stage we are happily engaged to start getting familiar.

Being consistent is the concept of this post. When we repeat we develop a consistent pattern that recognizes better what’s coming and how to manage it.

Consistency is the real secret to improvement.

As time passes, experience is built and mastery gets closer. As mastery gets closer, we learn how to use simplicity. And simplicity is only performed by the master.

Mastery is simple, efficiency is complex.

The simplicity of mastery is to be able to see it coming from a mile away.

Get an NBA player to defend me and he will predict every move I’ll try to make, making his defensive job easier and my offensive performance harder.

The higher level of mastery is simplicity

Each letter in the SCR code has a meaning, this meaning is described in three words for you to have a better association with the terms of the code.

Breaking down the code is how I know I’m understanding the effective usage of the code, the meaning of the code, and the complexity out-of-the simplicity and its practice.

And since I’m interested in the learning of my audience, I’m in the process of creating a worksheet for you to create awareness around the code, awareness around the actions you make, and to build personal consciousness among the people who get familiar with the code.

Why do I want this? Well, this is what Greatness Of Average is for. To teach, grow, educate, and pass it along to those who needed. This is your author applying the code once again with its creations.

Now going back to the finale:

This being the final stage of the code, it is my pleasure to congratulate you on your arrival at the final explanation to reach a deeper understanding.

FEM is the breakthrough of Repeat.

Surprises, Opportunity, Possibilities

Completion, Experiences, Credibility

Repeat

Familiarity, Efficiency, Mastery

Surprise, opportunity, possibilities + Completion, Experiences, Credibility = Familiarity, Efficiency, and Mastery.

The beginning is just like always, surprisingly full of opportunities with a considerable amount of possibilities. We don’t know what we don’t know until we know it, allow it to surprise you.

Getting finished is a unique experience, we get to tell stories, we get to teach it, and we get to use our experience to create more experiences. Leaving us with the credibility of what we did.

And common sense says that the more we repeat something, the better we become at it.

In two years we are familiar with what the gym is about, two more years passed and we are efficient enough to conduct solo workouts effectively and even teach it, after 6 years in the gym is when the sense of mastery starts arriving and you notice the different dialect between efficiency and mastery.

Once again: Get started, complete it, and repeat it. This is the mastery ticket towards greatness. Accept your fate of uncomfortable situations along the journey, it is not a destination. It is a temporary situation.

The SCR code is activated, you made this through with me and I thank you for being part of this creation.

Each part of the code is associated with a different meaning from each other, but by combining them we create a bigger type of meaning associated with the long run of what we Start, what we Complete, and what we Repeat.

Do what you can with what you know to get started, and leave the rest with what you learned through the course of finishing.

Keep it simple and follow through with the SCR Code.

You never know how to start something until you get started.

You never know how to finish until you finish.

You never know what details are missing until you repeat it.

May the SCR Code flow through your mind, body, and spirit to make your connection with reality more pleasant.

Find the use of my creation, make the connection with what you are creating, and repeat your meaningful process.

It’s time
